Therapeutic support is designed to empower male youths to change their life for the better. Our comprehensive and personalized treatment programs focus on how to manage emotions, avoid negative situations, and live healthy lives. Here are the treatment programs that we offer.
Individual Therapy
Every youth is assigned to a licensed therapist who serves as the client’s dedicated therapist. Clients will get at least two hours of Individual therapy per week, and can receive family therapy if it will be helpful to the client. Individual therapy is a safe and neutral environment where the client will be able to express himself while gaining new insight as well as getting constructive feedback.
Family Therapy
Family therapy is often crucial in the healing of a client in our program. Returning to family and their home is the final goal at Canyon River Ranch. We want the entire family to be a healthy and thriving community of support for our clients to return to. Family therapy will be provided by the client’s dedicated therapist and may include sessions with and/or without the client present.
Group Therapy
In group therapy youth will learn new ideas, learn to listen and to speak, and learn how to give and receive feedback. Clients will learn leadership skills, and how to respond appropriately when confronted with stressful topics. Youth will learn how to deal with problems, and how to grow because of those challenges. In group, clients will learn that they are not alone and that other group members have the same sorts of difficulties, the same sorts of backgrounds, the same sorts of behaviors, and the same sorts of experiences, creating a unified and respectful environment.

Canyon River Ranch recognizes the importance of therapeutic support for each student. As each student is unique and facing different struggles, we create individual treatment plans with them in mind. Some students benefit from individual support where others find more success in group and family support settings. We work on a combination of the various support services to ensure your son is cared for correctly and given the right treatment for his needs.
